innovating with greener materials

we are constantly innovating to reduce our environmental footprint, carefully selecting materials that balance durability, performance, and sustainability. this is reflected in our material choices:

wheat straw material

various components, such as handles and lids, are interspersed with wheat straw material
this renewable raw material reduces the need for virgin plastics by up to 50%, percentages vary on the product to guarantee durability
readily available worldwide, it is leftover material after harvesting and processing wheat grains – that cannot be eaten by animals and would otherwise be agricultural waste

expanding our sustainable materials

our cutting boards are made from fsc-certified recycled wood fiber.
our ultimate pro ceramic pans feature recycled aluminum, providing customers with more sustainable cookware options.
we will continue testing and pioneering sustainable solutions—just as karl zysset, our founder, would have done.

sustainable packaging philosophy

as part of our sustainability principles, we are transitioning all packaging components to recycled or recyclable materials*.

plastic-free alternatives: replacing cable ties with paper wires, clear plastic bags with silk paper, and plastic inserts with cardboard to secure products.
eco-conscious printing: using water-based ink for a more environmentally friendly finish. no more shiny, unrecyclable varnishes.
eliminating compound materials: ensuring all packaging materials are easy to separate and recycle. simplifying components to make recycling effortless.

*only exception is where plastic is required for safety reasons, such as pet shrink wrap for securely sealing knives, blade guards, etc.
