Introduction

To ensure compliance with the Offensive Weapons Act 2019 and uphold our moral responsibility, DK Household Brands Limited uses the AgeChecked Verification Service for all knife purchases. This service verifies that customers are over the age of 18 at the point of sale. More details on legal requirements can be found on the Government website.

How AgeChecked Works

AgeChecked is facilitated by AgeChecked.com. When you proceed to checkout with age-restricted products in your cart:

• You'll automatically pass through age verification checks to confirm you are over 18.
• If automatic verification fails, our customer service will contact you with a manual verification link via email and text to complete the process.

Security and Privacy

AgeChecked is designed with your privacy in mind:

• It operates under the British Standard code of practice PAS:1296.
• No personal details are stored post-verification; the information is only used to verify age and then discarded.

Delivery Policy

• Age Verification at Delivery: Following successful online age verification, Royal Mail will conduct a visual age check upon delivery using the Challenge 25 policy. If the recipient appears under 25, ID will be requested to confirm their age.
• Delivery Conditions: Orders are dispatched only after age verification is complete. Items cannot be left in a safe place or delivered to a PO box if they fail the doorstep age verification.

Cost

• Age Verification Service: This service is provided free of charge.
• Delivery Charges: There is a £4.95 fee for the Royal Mail Age Verification Service used for delivering bladed items. This fee is non-waivable under any circumstances.
