World Pasta Day - Gochujang Pasta

To celebrate World Pasta Day why not make this delicious gochujang pasta dish. You can never go wrong with a bowl of yummy pasta.

PRODUCTS USED: 

INGREDIENTS: 
  • 450 g rigatoni or any pasta of your choice
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter divided
  • 1 tablespoon garlic minced (about 2-3 cloves)
  • 3 tablespoons gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)
  • 200 ml  heavy cream
  • 100 ml reserved pasta water
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar or your preferred sweetener
  • 1 stalk green onion sliced (just the green part; plus more for garnish)
  • Parmesan grated (optional)

METHOD: 
  1. Start by boiling the pasta
  2. Add butter and garlic to a heated pan and cook until til golden brown
  3. Add gochujang paste, heavy cream and, sugar and mix well
  4. Add pasta water and seasoning before mixing in the pasta
  5. Grate parmesan cheese into the pan and mix
  6. Lastly, chop up some green onion to use as garnish before serving
